Robb Lindgren

Robb is a researcher who studies the design and effectiveness of learning technologies. He is a doctoral candidate in the Learning Sciences and Technology Design program at Stanford University and he is a researcher in the NSF-funded LIFE Center. He is interested in how interfaces for a myriad of new media technologies--virtual worlds, digital video, video games, augmented reality, mobile devices, and others--can be designed to facilitate learning. Currently he is working on a number of projects that examine whether 'expert perspectives' can be embedded in these technologies in ways improve conceptual and spatial knowledge of some learning domain.

Before pursuing his PhD, Robb worked for a short time as an information technology consultant at Accenture. He got his undergraduate degree at Northwestern University majoring in Computer Science and Cognitive Science. Robb originally hails from the area around Minneapolis, MN.
